DC Initiative 81: Entheogenic Plant and Fungus Policy Act of 2020

Overview: Possession and use of entheogenic plants and fungi will be among the District’s lowest law enforcement priorities. Cannot fully decriminalize because D.C. is a federal district and subject to Congressional jurisdiction – however, Congress declined to overturn the will of the voters in this case (this is a great thing!).

Status: Ballot measure passed with 76% of the vote in November 2020
