      S.B. 5660 - Psilocybin Wellness and Opportunity Act

      Overview: Bill would allow individuals to consume products containing psilocybin and psilocin, the two main active ingredients in psychedelic mushrooms, under the support of a trained and state-licensed psilocybin service administrator. Effectively decriminalizes at the state level.

      Status: Introduced to State Senate Committee on Health & Long Term Care at the February 2 hearing

      What you can do: Call your state senator and tell them you support the bill. If they are on the Health & Long Term Care committee, even better! You can also call your State Representative and urge them to support the bill when it comes to the House.

      Initiative 1886 - Concerns authorizing and regulating the manufacture, sale, and use of psilocybin.
       
      Overview: Leonora Russell submitted the proposed Initiative Measure No. 1886 to the Washington Secretary of State, which would allow licensed Washingtonians to provide psilocybin products and services to people 21 and older. 400,000 signatures are needed in order to put the initiative on the ballot.
